The Grove West Community Garden:
“From Seed to Need”

The Grove West owners work with local school children to teach the benefits and pleasures of growing vegetable and herbs. This project, called “From Seed to Need,” brings the students from local area elementary and middle schools to the garden to both work in nature and help those in need at the same time.

Under the direction of a Master Gardener, the students gain hands-on experience in the planting, cultivating, and maintenance of the garden. Tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, carrots, celery and beans are just some of the many vegetables grown in the garden. A sitting area has been added for all members of the community to enjoy. 100% of the produce is donated to charity. Our goal is to create a colorful public garden that benefits the community.
