Located in the Temescal neighborhood of Oakland,
375 40th Street was a vacant, shuttered, and dilapidated building that we purchased in 2012. After a full renovation and structural upgrade to this mixed use building, it is now home to a hip new restaurant, The Hogs Apothecary, and new office and residential units.

Prior to purchasing this property, we identified that the area had started to transition with a few popular retailers opening but that the changes were not yet evident to the broader market.

The building is located on 40th Street, a major street that connects the MacArthur BART station and Piedmont Avenue. It sits just to the south of the very popular Rockridge neighborhood, and is blocks from the new Kaiser Permanente Hospital. At MacArthur BART, located a few blocks away, developers recently broke ground on a major transit oriented development project of over 600 new residential units.
